There are so many ways you can get involved to help our schools and make a real difference!

• Support the school by coming to the PTA run events, take part in the fundraising activities and come and browse at the PTA stalls and sales.
• Donate to our pre-loved sales (e.g. old school uniform, winter coats, Christmas jumpers and books) and come to our second hand sales to grab yourself a bargain.
• Contribute to our tombolas on non-uniform days with sweets, unwanted gifts and drinks.
• Check to see if your company can donate a raffle prize for our Christmas and Summer Fairs or see if they offer a matched fundraising scheme for one of our fundraising efforts.
• Raise money for the PTA every time you shop online – it really is that easy!
• Become a Class Rep to help share PTA news and updates with all school families.
• We know there are hundreds of different skills across the school and we would love to use them! If you can spare a little time to help with a particular job or man a stall and one of our events for half an hour we would really appreciate it!
• Join the Knaphill Schools PTA Facebook group – this is a closed group ONLY for those with a connection to the school – but it contains details of all our upcoming events and funding efforts!
• Join the WhatsApp Helpers Group – If you want to dip your toe in and volunteer for things that are convenient for you then join this group. Here we post messages about upcoming events and simply ask if anyone can help with particular jobs. Email us if you want to join.
• Join our Committee and have a say in how PTA funds should be spent and what projects and events we should be working on. You can sign up to be a committee member or to have a coordinating role (as Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary or Treasurer). There is no expectation of time commitment, its just a way to be involved in the planning of events and activities.
• Volunteer at one of the Green Afternoons to help maintain and transform the outside areas our children play and learn in.
• Enter competitions to win prizes for our schools or collect tokens when companies run campaigns for equipment for schools.
• Talk to members of the PTA, email us, comment on Facebook! We want to hear all ideas to make PTA events and activities better.

Each October/November the PTA holds an Annual General Meeting. If you want to join the PTA or find out more about what we do, we invite you to come along. You can join the committee at any time so, please do get in contact: chair@knaphillschoolspta.org.uk
